Internationalise Symbiotically in India at Pune

SIU-AIU Conference on Internationalization of Higher Education 2019 Building Strategic Partnerships towards Collaborative International Learning4th-5th-6th April 2019

We at Symbiosis understand the importance of collaborative learning for an international world.

The nature of our global economy, the challenges of solving global problems, the geo political paradigm shifts, the emerging markets and powerhouses in Asia, and the size of the education market and growing importance of global ranking systems, have all contributed to the indisputable importance of internationalisation by all its stakeholders.

While the time is ripe for internationalisation of higher education, it is also the time to evaluate and plan for the changes required at a national level for internationalisation to be successful in the long run. The government and higher education institutions together must make critical policy changes and provisions for investment in terms of human and financial resources. These investments of time, energy and finance, must be constantly evaluated and balanced with a clear focus on desirable outcomes of these partnerships. The Symbiosis Centre for International Education (SCIE) is organizing the 3rd conference of ‘Understanding Internationalisation of Higher Education’ to deliberate and discuss just these aspects and facilitate a discussion between all stakeholders and policy makers.
